Wind Gives The Riders A Break After A Week Of Action

2005 Nivea World Cup
Sylt, Germany

After a full week of back to back action, the PWA riders finally got a well deserved break, as the winds at the Nivea World Cup Sylt in Germany did not reach competition strength today.

Although forecasts had indicated conditions in the afternoon would be suitable for Slalom 42 racing, it wasn’t to be.

On the upside of things, it was a beautiful sunny day at the beach for both riders and spectators, who had flocked to the event site in large numbers again. Although there was no sailing done today, the crowd got the chance to get autographs from their favourite riders and check out the latest gear displayed on the beach.

Tomorrow, Monday, is the last day of the event, when - weather conditions permitting - the Slalom 42 title will be decided. Log on again in the morning for all the developments from Westerland beach as the Nivea World Cup Sylt 2005 moves into its final day.
