The 37th Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship takes place from 12-21 July, sailed out of the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

2007 will be the eighth ISAF Youth Worlds to be sponsored by Volvo. Competition takes place in seven events along with the national battle for the Volvo Trophy.

Day 6: Australia Wins Volvo Trophy For Third Time

Australia has won the Volvo Trophy at this year's Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship with 259 points, breaking France's domination of the event. Denmark was second (248 points) and New Zealand was third (230 points).

Weak and confused gradient winds were the order of the day on Lake Ontario as the fleet racing in the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship got back out on the water for day four of the regatta after having a well-earned day off yesterday.

As racing at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship reaches the halfway stage, the competition intensifies. All fleets have now sailed at least six races which means each competitor can discard his or her worse score so far.

Day 1: Hot Shot Hobies Lead The Way

Britain's hot shot Hobie Cat crew of Richard and Andrew GLOVER, took the first two races in their class, and, with a fourth in race 3, they now lead the overall standings as racing got underway today at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship on Lake Ontario, Kingston, Canada in 8-10 knots of southwesterly breeze.

Day 2: Fast, Furious And So Much Fun

Racing today at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship was fast and furious, and 'so much fun' according to Australia's Gabrielle KING who won both races in the girls' Laser Radial fleet. Twenty knots of southwesterly breeze kicked up white horses on Lake Ontario, and under a hard blue sky, the sailing was spectacular.
