Mallinn Millbourn (SWE)

Criterium Women's Match Racing
Calpe

A Northeasterly 10 knot breeze greeted competitors on day 2 of the ISAF Grade One, Women’s match racing event in Calpe, Spain, yesterday. A full flight of races were sailed to enable the first round robin to be completed.
The breeze steadily picked up during the day and peaked mid afternoon with a 16 – 20 knot easterly, before settling down to 15 knots for the final races in the evening.

With six wins out of seven, it is Mallin Milbourn (SWE), currently ranked second in the ISAF Womens World Match Race Rankings, who tops the leaderboard, with her only loss coming to Christelle Phillipe (FRA).

The second round robin is being sailed today, and with the semi final positions being decided after today, everything is to play for. Millbourn goes as favourite to top the semi final places, and with her eye on the Women’s World Match Racing Championship next month, will be fighting hard.

Current top four going into round robin two are:
Mallin Millbourn (SWE)
Nina Braestrup (DAN)
Sabrina Gurioli (ITA)
Christelle Phillipe (FRA)
