2008 Beijing Paralympic Games

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has published and circulated the "Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games Doping Control Guide".
The Guide will be applied during the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, from the day of the opening of the Paralympic Village on 30 August to the Closing Ceremony.

The IPC is responsible for the Paralympic Games Doping Control Programme, including in-Competition (IC) and Out-of-Competition (OOC) Testing during this period. The “Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games Doping Control Guide” explains in detail the procedures applicable to the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games in respect of Anti-Doping Policies and is available online on the ISAF Paralympic Games microsite - www.sailing.org/paralympics - and on the website of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) - www.wada-ama.org.

IFDS would like to remind all athletes that in the period preceding the Paralympic Games, any athlete with a documented medical condition requiring use of a prohibited substance or method must obtain a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) from ISAF. Detailed information regarding TUEs is in the “Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games Doping Control Guide” and available on the ISAF Anti-Doping microsite.
