Plaque Purchase
To maintain its World Sailing designation, a World Sailing Class shall require that all new boats shall have paid a class fee to World Sailing.
Generally, the plaques state “fee paid” and they are proof that the required fee has been paid to World Sailing. This fee may include a share for the International Class Association and the Designer.
The plaque scheme varies depending on the Class. Not everyone is entitled to order plaques from the Class or World Sailing. The World Sailing Plaque Schemes document details:
- Plaques sold and distributed by WS and who can order them.
- Plaques sold, distributed and which can be requested from the Class directly.
- WS Classes with different schemes and special agreements where physical plaques are not in use.
Ordering Plaques from World Sailing
The plaques will be sold and distributed by World Sailing if the request is made by following the World Sailing Plaque Procedure, completing the correct form, and sending it to World Sailing at plaques@sailing.org.
It is important to note that there are two separate forms: one for new plaques and one for replacement plaques. Please refer to the correct form when requesting your plaque.
