Southern Star II dominating

Melbourne yachtsman John CALVERT-JONES continues to dominate at the Rosemount Farr 40 Nationals at Pittwater with his entry Southern Star II.

Adding to his two wins and a third place on Saturday, Calvert-Jones capitalized on the Barrenjoey Circle course at Pittwater yesterday, with a further win, a second, fourth and fifth places to lead the series from Sydney entry, Richard PERINI’s Corinthian Doors.

Perini is not letting Calvert-Jones of the hook though – he also had a win on the first day of the series and backed that up with a further two wins yesterday to be within striking distance of the champion Melbourne yachtsman.

The Rosemount Farr 40 National Championship and season finishes tomorrow at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club at which time the new National champion and the Australian Circuit point score winners will be announced.

The lucky winner of the National Championship will also take home his weight in some of Rosemount’s finest wines.
