Technical Course Held in Egypt

A Technical Course hosted by the Egyptian Sailing Federation was recently held in Cairo on the Nile River.

Cathy FOSTER and Lawrie DRAPER from Great Britain ran a ‘Learn to Race Better’ course for 48 Optimist and Laser Radial Sailors from 3-7 July 2004

The Course focussed on rigging, boat handling and racing skills such as starting, mark roundings, rules and use of transits in current. The accompanying Coaches were given an opportunity to witness coaching styles and tuition in course-planning, coaching techniques and resources.
