Rolex Miami OCR Production Team Scoop Top TV Award

T2Productions, the sailing video specialists, has won a 2009 Aegis Award for their video coverage of US SAILING’s Rolex Miami OCR 2009, the second event of the 2009 ISAF Sailing World Cup.

“The Aegis Awards is one of the oldest and most respected video/film production contests in the United States. It is the only competition that features true peer judging by fellow producers, directors, cameramen, editors, and other professionals who work in the video/film industry every day.” (www.aegisawards.com) T2P won for the category of Sports, Producer.

This is the second Aegis Award the company has won in the past two years. In the fall of 2007 T2P won for the category of Sports, Reporter for the coverage of US SAILING’s Rolex International Women’s Keelboat Championship 2007.
T2P has covered hundreds of regattas and broadcast over 500 shows on the online sailing network, www.t2p.tv. T2P’s niche is same day production of sailing which makes the Aegis Award all the more impressive because each of the three complete shows produced during the event was shot, produced, and broadcast all in one day. “It is very rewarding to know the sailing audience is enjoying our shows, and it is a true honor to be recognized outside of the sailing industry by video production professionals,” said Tucker THOMPSON, T2P’s co-owner and commentator. “It is equally rewarding to have now won the award in both categories because it shows continuity throughout all aspects of our productions.”

Thompson won the Aegis in 2007 for his live commentating, and his business partner, T2P’s co-owner Bruce Nairn, won this year’s award for video production. “Winning this award is proof positive that eight years of creating and fine tuning an efficient production model supported by good talent produces great results” said Nairn.

T2P has covered many of the major Rolex sponsored sailing regattas in the U.S. and Caribbean for the past five years. Their next Rolex regatta coverage on www.t2p.tv will be Block Island Race Week presented by Rolex, June 22-26, 2009.
