Playing A Waiting Game

The 367 sailors from 67 nations are playing are waiting game on the third day of competition at the 44th ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship.

As of 12:00 local time the on-water breeze was light with conditions not playing ball for racing to commence.

After a 21:00 local time finish the day prior the morning rest could be seen as a nice respite but the sailors will be frustrated nonetheless as they wait for wind.

A south west breeze is expected to build from 13:00 onwards but whether it materialises is another issue with several local members of Clube Nautico de Tavira unsure which way it will play.

As it stands the leading sailors have cemented themselves at the top of the pack with those towards the lower end of fleet setting personal goals and standards to achieve. The third day will be another challenging racing day for all competitors.
