Day #2 Morning Report - Hempel World Cup Series Genoa

The second day of racing at Hempel World Cup Series Genoa will see all eight Olympic events hit the water after the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 got racing underway on Monday 15 April.

The second day of racing at Hempel World Cup Series Genoa will see all eight Olympic events hit the water after the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 got racing underway on Monday 15 April.

With split fleets in the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17, they commenced racing a day early to ensure a qualifying series is completed before advancing into gold and silver fleets on Wednesday. Tuesday’s action will see the Men’s and Women’s 470, Laser, Laser Radial and Finn join the action.

Racing is scheduled to commence at 11:00 local time. As of 1015, Genoa was covered in cloud with minimal breeze across the five racing areas. The wind is expected to shift around all day with a 5 knot south westerly expected to come in later on in the afternoon.
