Day #3 Morning Report - Hempel World Cup Series Genoa
The opening two days of competition at Hempel World Cup Series Genoa have been challenging for the 676 registered sailors from 58 nations as light wind has slowed down proceedings.
The opening two days of competition at Hempel World Cup Series Genoa have been challenging for the 676 registered sailors from 58 nations as light wind has slowed down proceedings.
Over the first two days of competition just 14 races have been completed due to winds around the 4-7knot range. Wednesday’s action is expected to also play out in light winds but with a slightly better forecast. As yesterday’s cloud cover moves on and the sun appears, a 4-6 knot sea breeze from the south east is predicted with potential gusts up to 11 knots.
Racing is scheduled to commence at 11:00 local time and every fleet has an additional race scheduled in a bid to catch up on races lost.
