Further to the World Sailing statements published on 25 May 2022 and 23 August 2022, the World Sailing Board convened on the 23 November 2022 to review the decision made to temporarily suspend individuals from the World Sailing Council and other World Sailing bodies.
The Board determined that there was no material change in circumstances giving rise to the suspensions. The suspensions will therefore remain in place.
The Board also determined that they would reconvene to review the temporary suspensions ahead of the three-month period stipulated in Schedule D of the World Sailing Constitution if further guidance is received from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The IOC Executive Board will meet from 5-7 December 2022 followed by the Olympic Summit on 9 December 2022.
