Grand Final of the eSailing Nations Cup pits old rivals against each other once again

France and Great Britain will compete in the 2022 eSailing Nations Cup Grand Final - a repeat of last year’s final - on 4 December 2022.

The event will be broadcast live on the World Sailing and Virtual Regatta YouTube channels.

Last year, France beat the then-defending champions Great Britain 5-4 in a best of nine series, and many of the same squad will be back looking to regain their championship including Arthur Farley, Alexandre Kowalski, and Gaétan de Kat.

France qualified for this year’s final by beating Spain 6-3 in the Semi-Finals, while Great Britain beat Italy 6-3, meaning the Petite Final will be between Spain and Italy.

Each team will now face off in a nine round match to decide the final placings. Rounds include one-on-one Star races, two-on-two F50, three-on-three Laser, four-on-four J70 and Fareast 28r, five-on-five Offshore Racer and 10-on-10 in both 49er and a final round in the Nacra 17.
