New media accreditation process for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The process for applying for sport-specific media accreditation ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will begin in January 2023, and the process will be slightly different from previous editions of the Olympics.

World Sailing will be responsible for data collection and submission of applications for all specialist sailing media who have not been accredited by their National Olympic Association. This data will be sent to the Paris 2024 Accreditation Department, in a process similar to the one currently in place for National Olympic Committees.

Please be aware that accreditation is not guaranteed. World Sailing has a limited quota available and may not be able to accommodate all applicants.

To begin the process of applying for accreditation, members of the media who have not been accredited by their National Olympic Committee are invited to contact World Sailing at communications@sailing.org. All applicants should supply their name as it appears on their passport, their publication or organisation, contact details and the type of accreditation they are seeking, either Es, for written media, or Eps, for photographers. The deadline is 25 February 2023.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is responsible for the final approval of the sport specialist media list.

Following this decision, sport-specialist media will have the opportunity to book press accommodation with Paris 2024 directly. Paris 2024 will be sending Pre-Valid Cards (PVCs) to World Sailing for distribution to accredited media from May 2024.

For information regarding the facilities and services available to the press, please consult the Paris 2024 Media extranet: https://pressoperations.paris2024.org/s/login. If you need any assistance please contact Paris 2024 Press Operations at pressoperations@paris2024.org
