How to follow the Allianz Sailing World Championships, The Hague
The 2023 Allianz Sailing World Championships, The Hague, are just around the corner and as excitement builds and final preparations for the 1400 sailors and coaches are underway, here’s how you can follow the event live.
Medal races will be livestreamed on World Sailing’s YouTube Channel and the Olympic Channel starting on Wednesday 16 August, including coverage of the Olympic Class medal races in Scheveningen and the decisive final day in the Para World Sailing competition from Brassemermeer.
Live coverage of the medal races will also be televised on several major networks around the world, including CNBC in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Eurosport, Dubai Sports Channel, Africa XP and Mnet Supersport across Africa, CBC in Canada, ESPN across the Caribbean, Fox Sports in Australasia and Spo TV in Asia.
The Para World Sailing competition medal races will take place on Wednesday 16 August with coverage starting from 14:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST).
It is the turn of the 470 and Nacra 17 the following day, Thursday 17 August, to crown new World Champions. Coverage again begins from 14:00 CEST.
On Friday 18 August, medal races in the 49er and 49erFX will start from 14:00 CEST.
Dubbed ‘Super Saturday’, Saturday 19 August will see the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Finals of the iQFOiL and Formula Kite events. Racing gets underway from 11:00 CEST, with the Finals set to start from 14:00 CEST.
The final day of the championships, Sunday 20 August, features the finals of the ILCA class, which are scheduled for 14:00-16:00 CEST as the championship wraps up.
Medal race day highlights will also be available on participating networks, nightly between Wednesday 16 August and Sunday 20 August at 22:00 CEST.
