Australia, France, Sweden, and New Zealand secure spots in the Final Four of the Youth Match Racing World Championship

The 2024 World Sailing Youth Match Racing World Championship continued to heat up on Day 3. Australia, France, Sweden, and New Zealand emerged victorious from the qualifying rounds, setting the stage for a thrilling final day on the Red Sea.

Ideal sailing conditions, with a steady 8-12 knot north-westerly breeze, propelled the action forward. A rematch of the 2023 World Championship Final between Australia and France kicked off the day, with the French team capitalising on an Australian error to claim victory. Australia, however, rebounded with a decisive win over New Zealand to secure their place in the top four.
