World Sailing Race Official Appointments – Match Racing & Fleet Racing

World Sailing has the right to appoint race officials for events in order to ensure that they are fully trained and qualified.

 

Event Appointments Working Party

The nomination and consultation process for Race Official appointments will be completed by the Event Appointment Working Party (EAWP). The EAWP report directly to the Board of Directors, with the principal role to provide the names of race officials to be appointed to World Sailing events as outlined in the World Sailing Regulations.

The Event Appointment System outlines the practical system for the Event Appointments Working Party to work together with the Classes, Race Officials Committee, Organising Authorities, Member National Authorities and other relevant stakeholders to appoint suitable Race Officials to World Sailing events to ensure high quality events for competitors and organising authorities, now and in the future.
